Akshita Jaketia

Manager, Compliance & Operations

Akshita manages all compliance and operations at Cactus Partners.

Her role comprises oversight of all policy implementation and compliance related matters, including regulatory (SEBI and RBI related), administrative, IT, ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) and HR (including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)).

Akshita has 5+ years of experience in client communication and investor relations in the hospitality and media industries.

She holds an MBA (major in finance and minor in marketing) from IBS School Gurgaon (ICFAI).

Akshita is an avid reader and an artist in her free time.

Amit Sharma

General Partner

Amit is a General Partner at Cactus Partners. He brings 15+ years of experience in investing and equity research.

Amit has made or supported some extremely profitable investments that include Cred (exit at 14x), KrazyBee (exit at 10x), Happy Easy Go (exit at 3x), Gig India (Exit at 26x), and Box8 (currently at 4x).

Prior to joining Cactus Partners, Amit led India investments for eWTP Capital, an Alibaba backed VC fund. He was also one of the founding members of the team that set up eWTP Arabia Capital, a US$400mn fund backed by marquee investors such as PIF.

Prior to that he led strategic investments for Xiaomi India briefly. He also worked with a colleague to set up Ganesh Ventures, a Hong-Kong based, India-focused, VC Fund.

At the beginning of his career, Amit worked with J.P. Morgan as an equity analyst covering India IT Services, Telecom, and Internet. He also worked on several key M&A and IPO transactions.

Amit holds an MBA from University Business School, Panjab University. He also holds a diploma in Veterinary Sciences from Haryana Agriculture University and B.Com. from Kurukshetra University.

Amit is a doting father to his 1.5-year-old daughter.

Anurag Goel

General Partner

Anurag is a General Partner at Cactus Partners. He is also the co-founder & Chairman of Cactus Communications, a global science & technology enterprise with 8 international offices across 7 countries.

Anurag brings 23+ years of deep expertise across strategy, M&A, technology & AI, and corporate development. His key interest areas are strategy, people management, B2C branding and marketing, B2B sales, organization design, operations, and leadership development. His unique approach to building a conscious organization has resulted in Cactus achieving multiple Top-20 ranks and the coveted #1 rank as India’s Best Mid-Sized Workplace in 2017 by the Great Places to Work Institute. Over the last 6 years, Anurag has invested in 30+ start-ups in consumer technology, SaaS, alternative energy, and healthcare.

At the beginning of his career, Anurag spent 3+ years at McKinsey & Company between Amsterdam and India offices, leading strategy, and corporate finance projects for clients across logistics, telecom, financial services, metals, and mining industries.

Anurag graduated from the prestigious Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology with degrees in Computer Science and Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Anurag is a father of 3, is a voracious reader, and enjoys learning.

Chantelle Lawrence

Office Manager

Chantelle has 15+ years of experience in administration and currently manages all administrative matters at Cactus Partners.

She began her career and spent 11 years as the Executive Assistant to the Managing Partner & CEO of IndoSpace Capital Advisors, following which she spent 3 years at CPPIB as an administrative assistant.

Chantelle holds a BA degree in Political Science from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and a PG Diploma in Advertising & Marketing from St. Xavier’s Institute of Communications, Mumbai

Chantelle is an animal lover and fosters pets in her free time.

Cheshta Wadhwa

Analyst

Cheshta is an Analyst at Cactus Partners. She has 2+ years of experience in equity research and investment analysis.

Prior to joining Cactus Partners, Cheshta was a business analyst with Evalueserve where she spent a year analysing portfolio performance and supporting portfolio monitoring and research for US based pension funds. She spent a year with TresVista Analytics before that supporting US based investors in company research, financial due diligence, valuation and portfolio analysis.

Cheshta has a B. Com (Hons) degree from Hansraj College, University of Delhi and has cleared CFA level 1.

Cheshta is an avid dancer and basketball player.

Prashant Hingad

Head, Finance

Prashant has 6+ years of experience in Finance and is Head of Finance & Fund Administration management at Cactus Partners.

Before joining Cactus Partners, he was Head of the Treasury Function at Cactus Communications Pvt Ltd, where he managed the investment portfolio and handled foreign exchange risk management for the company.

Prior to joining Cactus Communications, Prashant was a member of the Central Treasury at Reliance Industries Limited.

Prashant is a Chartered Accountant and has cleared CFA Level I.

In his free time Prashant enjoys swimming, watching sports and playing cards.

Prashanti Shivalenka

Manager, Investor Relations

Prashanti is Manager, Investor Relations at Cactus Partners.

Prior to joining Cactus Partners, Prashanti worked as an Associate Vice President at Capital Connect Advisors, a Singapore-based boutique Investment Bank. Before her stint with Capital Connect, Prashanti worked with Steer Advisors in Mumbai and Argyll Partners in London.

Prior to her move into Investment Banking, Prashanti started her career as a programmer and researcher with ICRISAT (UN-funded international research Centre) and Queensland University of Technology.

Prashanti received her Master’s degree in Finance from the University of London and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from JNTU, Hyderabad.

Outside work, Prashanti enjoys listening to jazz and classic rock, plays squash, and loves visiting art galleries.

Rahul Chadha

Principal

Rahul is a Principal at Cactus Partners and has 10+ years of experience in investment management and equity research.

Prior to joining Cactus Partners, Rahul was an Associate Portfolio Manager, Asia ex-Japan Equities at Tokio Marine Asset Management International, in Singapore. He also led the company's research coverage for the Technology, Telecommunications, and IT Services sectors.

Prior to his move to the buy-side, Rahul covered regional Semiconductor and Technology companies for J.P. Morgan for 7 years, based in Taipei and Mumbai. He started his career with Larsen and Toubro in the Oil, Gas, and Special Projects division.

Rahul received his master’s degree in Hydrocarbon Engineering and bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.

Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, playing cricket, and reading.

Rajeev Kalambi

General Partner

Rajeev is a General Partner at Cactus Partners.

He brings 23+ years of extensive financial experience in early-growth private equity, investment banking and M&A. With experience across the lifecycle of investment management, Rajeev is skilled in deal making, capacity building for scale-up in portfolio companies, governance, and exit management.

Most recently Rajeev was at FidelisWorld, a US$100 million private equity fund leading consumer and technology investments in India (with several marquee businesses like Wildcraft, Raw Pressery, Techfront, and Sportz Interactive).

Prior to FidelisWorld, Rajeev had investment banking stints with Edelweiss Capital, Cipher Capital, and SMC Capital. His corporate banking roles prior to that included HSBC and DBS.

Rajeev graduated in economics from Shri Ram School of Commerce (SRCC), has a master's degree from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, and an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.

Rajeev is a proud husband and father of two, enjoys adventure sports, is an avid reader and unwinds with rock, blues, and pop music.
